Jack Gin is a business executive, entrepreneur, engineer and philanthropist based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
About Jack
Jack was born, raised and educated in Vancouver, Canada, where he still lives with his wife, kids and grandkids.
Jack grew up in Vancouver’s east end, training as a civil engineer at UBC. During his three decades in global business, Jack built a track record of business success stories. He is the founder and former CEO of Extreme CCTV, which he took to an IPO and its sale to Bosch Systems in 2008. Before his exit, Jack was recognized with the Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year Award and Burnaby’s Business VNewsmaker of the Year. He continues to energize companies and causes that he supports, serving as business consultant and as the director of the Jack Gin Family Foundation.

Career Highlights
As partner and VP of Business Development for Weatherhaven (1991-1994), he helped earn the company the Canada Export Award.
As the Director and VP of Business Development for Silent Witness(1994-1997), he helped the company enter the global security industry, which also went on to win the Canada Export Award.
As Founder, President and CEO (July 1997-2008), Gin lead the company to earn the Canada Export Award in 2003. It was named #1 on Deloitte & Touche’s Fast 50 in 2003, and #2 in Profit Magazine’s Fastest Growing Companies in Canada. After the company’s sale, Jack was retained as a business advisor to Bosch Security Systems, a Netherlands based division of Robert Bosch GbmH.
Jack Gin was a well-known speaker at international security conferences on the topics of night vision and its importance for global security.
